The Sylvia Grinnell River at Dawn

About

Iā€™m an Inuk photographer from Iqaluit, Nunavut Canada and an adventurer. My interest in photography began in early 2017 when I was given a task to photograph the Northern Lights with an entry level camera and lens by one of my family members who is experienced in photography, and the quality of the images that it produced inspired me to continue my journey with photography.

I love hiking at the Sylvia Grinnell Park during late Spring and the Summer season, as I can see an abundance of plants and flowers bloom and flourish throughout the tundra, and observe several species of small birds foraging on the grounds along the Sylvia Grinnell River. My favourite time to photograph the Northern Lights and the Stars is when the sky is clear, and there is no sight of the Moon during the night, because you can capture clear photos of the Stars and Milky Way and the cascading Northern Lights.
